AMONG US by Marco van Geffen
AMONG US is about Ewa, a Polish au-pair in a small town in Holland. A sensitive girl, she finds it difficult to live up to her host-parents' clichéd expectations. When a rape takes place, Ewa believes to know the rapist. Having no one to share this knowledge with, it furthers her alienation from the people around her, resulting in her being send back home.
The film just had its premiere in Locarno in the Concurso Internazionale. AMONG US is produced by Lemming Film.

HABIBI by Susan Youssef
In 7th century Arabia lived the great poet of love Qays. Today the walls of Gaza are covered with the words of his poems, transcribed by a young Palestinian who claims his impossible love for the woman he wants to marry. Prisoners in the open air, imprisoned by the logic of social conventions and policies that ignore them, the two boys seek freedom.
HABIBI is a minority co-production between The Netherlands (S.Y. Films), USA, United Arab Emirates and Palestine.
BACK TO STAY by Milagros Mumenthaler
Three sisters, bound by the loss of their grandmother, Alicia, are forced to redefine their relationship with one another in their matriarch’s home, burdened by her absence.
The film was awarded the Golden Leopard for Best Film at Locarno. BACK TO STAY is a minority co-production between the Netherlands (Waterland Film), Argentina and Switzerland.
THE OTHER SIDE OF SLEEP by Rebecca Daly
A sleepwalker since childhood, Arlene works in the local factory of the small Irish rural town she grew up in. When a young woman is found dead in the woods, Arlene immediately channels her own mother’s disappearance, twenty years ago.

A documentary that tells the story of Husham, a man that works tirelessly to build the hopes, dreams and prospects of the 32 damaged children of war, under his care at his small two roomed, orphanage in Baghdad’s most dangerous district.
